About us

The mission of the University Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer​ is to initiate cooperation between the world of science and business and to support the transfer of knowledge and technology. The University Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer is a peculiar operator combining the world of science of the University of Opole with a broadly conceived socioeconomic environment. The Office takes up active and effective actions, which leads to the efficient transfer of knowledge and technologies, contributing to development of society and creating an economy based on knowledge and innovation.
Among the strategic goals of the activity of the University Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer the following can be indicated:

  • Supporting cooperation of science and business,
  • Commercialisation of research results and technologies obtained or generated by the academic community of the University of Opole,
  • Supporting innovativeness and raising the competitiveness of companies through the effective combination of science and business.

 

 

​Our key tasks

The University Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer​ undertakes active and effective actions enabling real cooperation between the scientific community and the socioeconomic environment. The key tasks of the University Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer include:

Assessment of the implementation potential of results of scientific activity (scientific research, developmental works, artistic creativity), conducted by workers, students, participants of post-diploma studies, doctoral students and partners of the University of Opole,

Support for researchers interested in the realisation of research-developmental projects and commercial initiatives in searching for domestic and foreign partners to carry out joint projects, including also the preparation of agreements, contracts, etc.,

Effectively fulfilling the processes of commercialisation of research results and technologies,

Running an offer base for business and a patent base of the University of Opole,

Delineating areas and possibilities for effective cooperation with the socioeconomic environment,

Finding solutions for enterprises and investors and purchasers of technologies,

Promotion of research results on the website of the Office and in publications of the information-promotion character,

Popularisation of science through the organisation of academic lectures, popularisation-directed events and other initiatives,

Raising the knowledge of the workers of the University of Opole in the areas of the copyrights and related rights, protection of intellectual property and commercialisation of research results.

 


The activities of the University Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer contribute to building strategic partnerships and cooperation between the University of Opole and its socioeconomic environment. Proper formation of relationships with business and also with institutions in the business environment creates foundations which help to increase the influence of research and scientific activity conducted by the University of Opole on the functioning of society and economy.
